Acceptance of Terms

By registering for or accessing any membership level on Hal Wilson Comedy (“we,” “us,” “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not register or use our membership services.

These terms apply to all membership levels — Guest List, Backstage Pass, and Legacy 77 — and govern your access to all content, community features, and experiences provided through this platform.

Membership Levels

Hal Wilson Comedy offers three membership levels with different access and pricing:

Guest List — Free

Access to select free content, community updates, and previews of new material. Free members may upgrade to a paid tier at any time.

Backstage Pass — $7/month

Includes all Guest List content plus exclusive member content, early access to new material, show dates before the public, and member voting on merch, jokes, and projects. Billed monthly. Taxes included.

Legacy 77 — $777 once or 3 × $277/month

A limited lifetime membership available to 77 members total. Includes all Backstage Pass content plus named Legacy 77 recognition, quarterly live calls, a signed welcome kit, early access to all major releases, and exclusive inner circle access. See Section 3 for full Legacy 77 terms.

Note: Membership content and perks are subject to change. We will provide reasonable notice of any significant changes to membership benefits.

Legacy 77 Terms

The Legacy 77 membership is a limited, lifetime tier with specific terms that differ from monthly subscriptions. Please read this section carefully before purchasing.

77 Seats Total: Legacy 77 is permanently limited to 77 members. Once all 77 seats are filled this tier will never reopen under any circumstances.

Lifetime Access: Legacy 77 membership provides lifetime access to all Legacy 77 benefits for as long as the Hal Wilson Comedy membership platform operates.

Payment Plan Commitment: The 3-payment plan of $277/month is a firm commitment to the full $777 lifetime membership price. It is not a month-to-month subscription — it is a structured payment plan for a one-time lifetime membership. By selecting this option you agree to complete all 3 payments.

Default Policy: Failed payments not resolved within 14 days will result in suspension of Legacy 77 access. Members who default and do not complete all 3 payments will be downgraded to the Backstage Pass level. Access to Legacy 77 exclusive perks — including signed welcome kits and quarterly calls — will be revoked upon default.

No Self-Cancellation for Payment Plans: Payment plan members cannot cancel through the member portal. To discuss your payment plan please contact us directly at hal@halwilsoncomedy.com.

Pay-in-Full Members: Members who pay $777 in full have no recurring billing and no cancellation terms — your membership is fully paid and permanent.

Billing & Payment

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. By providing your payment information you authorize us to charge your payment method for the applicable membership fees.

Monthly membership (Backstage Pass) is billed on the same date each month from the date of signup.
All prices include applicable taxes.
You can update your payment method at any time through the member billing portal.
If a payment fails we will attempt to retry your payment method. Continued failure may result in suspension of access until payment is resolved.
Legacy 77 pay-in-full members are charged once at the time of purchase with no recurring billing.

Cancellation Policy

Monthly Membership (Backstage Pass)

You may cancel your monthly membership at any time through the member billing portal. Your access will continue until the end of your current billing period. No partial month refunds are issued.

Legacy 77 — Pay in Full

Pay-in-full Legacy 77 memberships are non-refundable after 7 days from the date of purchase. See Section 6 for full refund details.

Legacy 77 — Payment Plan

The Legacy 77 payment plan is a commitment to all 3 payments. Payment plan members who wish to discuss their membership should contact us directly at hal@halwilsoncomedy.com. We will work with you to find a reasonable resolution.

Note: Canceling your membership means you will lose access to all member-only content at the end of your billing period.

Refunds

Our refund policy is as follows:

Guest List (Free): No charges, no refunds applicable.
Backstage Pass: No refunds on monthly charges. You may cancel at any time to stop future billing.
Legacy 77 — Pay in Full: A full refund is available within 7 days of purchase if you have not accessed any Legacy 77 exclusive content. After 7 days or after accessing exclusive content no refund is available.
Legacy 77 — Payment Plan: Payments already made are non-refundable. Please contact us directly to discuss your situation.

Content & Access

Content available through your membership is for your personal, non-commercial use only. By accessing member content you agree that you will not:

Single Household Access: Membership access is intended for a single household. Sharing credentials with individuals outside your immediate household is prohibited and may result in account termination.
No Redistribution: You may not share, distribute, or republish any member-only content without written permission.
No Recording: You may not record, screenshot, or reproduce exclusive video or audio content.
No Commercial Use: Member content may not be used for commercial purposes of any kind.

We reserve the right to add, modify, or remove content from the membership platform at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to maintain the quality and quantity of content available at each membership level.

Member Conduct

This community is built on integrity, good-natured comedy, and mutual respect. As a member you agree to:

Treat other members and Hal with respect in all community interactions
Refrain from harassment, hate speech, or offensive conduct of any kind
Keep Backstage Pass and Legacy 77 exclusive content confidential
Not use the community for spam, self-promotion, or commercial solicitation

We reserve the right to terminate membership without refund for members who violate these conduct standards, including the unauthorized sharing of Backstage Pass or Legacy 77 confidential content.

Intellectual Property

All content on the Hal Wilson Comedy membership platform — including videos, written material, jokes, bits, Coach’s Perspective material, concepts, images, and recordings — is the sole intellectual property of Hal Wilson and Hal Wilson Enterprises LLC. All rights reserved.

Your membership grants you a limited, personal, non-transferable license to access and consume content for personal enjoyment only. No ownership of any content is transferred by virtue of membership.

Disclaimer & Liability

The Hal Wilson Comedy membership platform is provided “as is.” We make no warranties, expressed or implied, regarding uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or the continued availability of any specific content or feature.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hal Wilson and Hal Wilson Enterprises LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to access the membership platform.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. When we make significant changes we will notify members by email and update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.

Continued use of your membership after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. If you do not agree with updated terms you may cancel your membership at any time.
